Iota Nicaragua Fund
Donation protected
Family, friends, and friends of our family and friends,
Central America has been hit hard by two back to back hurricanes, first with Eta and now with Iota. And although the West Coast of Nicaragua was not the hardest hit, it is sometimes the outlying areas that are forgotten, but still need help.
For those that don't know us, we moved to the West Coast of Nicaragua, the small rural town of Limon Dos (near Tola, Rivas) 2.5 years ago and built a boutique hotel. We are safe and have built our structure to withstand major storms. However, the local communities around us are at risk with massive flooding, erosion, water contamination, and shortage of food.
We are raising money to help rebuild wells which are a vital source of water, bring food to homes that either can't physically make it to the store or don't have the means to buy it. The political situation of 2018 and the COVID pandemic this year has negatively impacted the local community near us as they rely heavily on tourism. And now with back to back hurricanes, the local communities need help.
In full transparency, we have not formed a 501c(3) and we are not fundraising for national and international non-profits for Iota relief efforts, because it will not go directly to the communities near us that we know need the help. However, we will keep everyone updated with progress. We comitt to utilizing 100% of the funds raised in addition to our own towards the local community for essential needs like rebuilding wells for water and supplying basic necessary food and supplies.
It's been a tough year with a lot going on in the world, if you are able to help, we will ensure your funds are used wisely.
THANK YOU!
