Our mom is Alberta M. (Greenwood)Seidel, grew up in Jersey City, NJ.  She was the daughter of John & Evelyn Thompson, has a brother John/Jack Thompson with 2 nephews.
She has 5 children, daughter Lynn Eisberg Dixon Carlstadt, NJ  son Joseph , Suffern, NY, daughter Karen Ann ,Carlstadt, NJ, Keith of Seaside Hts. NJ & Ashley Seidel of Bayville, NJ. Total of 13 grandchildren:  4 great grandchildren.
Just 2 short months ago, mom/gram started feeling sick with one thing or another. But a while had pain in her back, which she thought was arthritis. Her diverticulis acted up, then got bronchitis. During Bobby's wedding time she kept all the testing to herslf not to spoil the excitement. She even confided in the "Rev" about it her testing !
The dreaded phone call which I already knew what the outcome was, the "C" word, small cell lung cancer!! I said, how could this be, a Hurricane Sandy Victim hit yet again??
She was just diagnosed with advanced Stage 4 small cell lung cancer which spread to her heart, bones of neck/spine,& lymph nodes there are NO Guarantees !! Mom now has mounting Medical bills plus has No life insurance! We are not prepared to cover all her expenses !!

She worked hard all her life in deli/catering work. Loves all people and helps everyone. She would give the shirt off her back for anybody. She loves animals, we joke with her calling her Mrs. Dolittle !! She loves her family! This is why her family is now stepping up to the plate for her to raise the much needed money for her !! The funds will be going to the First Presbyterian Church Deacons Fund as there will also be a fundraiser in the works for sometime in February with the family and the church sponsoring us !!
