As one of the many families that had the opportunity to know such a great man Ioane “John” Tafaovale, we are so heartbroken over this insurmountable loss. A loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend but the best title he wore well was faithful servant. Our hearts are grieving and mourning with his family. Such a tragedy to lose a person who influenced so many around him. You left an impressionable impact on our hearts John, and you will never be forgotten.
Ioane “John” Tafaovale leaves behind a beautiful wife, a mighty woman of God Cindy Tafaovale, 4 children and 4 grandchildren who love him dearly and never expected to wake up on June 16th, 2020 with their hearts broken to pieces.
I had the chance to speak to his oldest daughter Imiah and she told me, “I can’t imagine my dad like this. He was always strong, my protector and not afraid of anything. I wanted to wake up from this bad dream. It doesn’t feel real. I keep thinking my dad is coming home”.
It is so hard to find the right words to say when you hear a child who is so heartbroken. So, we choose to express our Love in other ways through prayer and action by carrying the families burden for this sudden loss.
The provider for his family, he worked hard at everything he put his hands to and blessed so many along the way. With all the LOVE pouring out from family and friends it is evident that Ioane “John” Tafaovale leaves behind a legacy of Faith. He was courageous, generous and thoughtful. He was always willing to help others, encouraged and influenced everyone around him. He had a SMILE that was contagious that changed the atmosphere around us. He was a Light to us all. Everyone’s Love and Prayers have been so heartfelt. I know it’s a reflection of his heart, the influence and legacy he leaves behind for us to continue.
On behalf of Cindy Tafaovale, children and grandchildren I am setting up this fund to help the family with funeral and burial expenses. This will help remove some of the burden to help fulfill his wishes and celebrate his life with family and friends.
