On June 16th, 2015 Rich Zinn tragically lost his battle with cancer at the age of 38. Rich leaves behind his loving wife Kelly, and his 2 small children Annabelle,2 and Abigail,1. Rich was a loving husband, father, brother and son. To know Rich was to love him and to be loved by him. Gone too soon, but our memories of Rich will last forever.
Kelly is devastated. Kelly and Annie and Abbie have a long road ahead of them. Kelly is a strong devoted mother who works full time as a social worker. Many people have asked how they can help Kelly and the girls and there is that feeling that we are all helpless at times like these. There will be a wake Friday, June 19th from 5-8pm at Mathis Funeral Home in Medford, NJ. And a funeral mass at St. Mary of the Lakes in Medford on Saturday, June 20th at 10:30am. Funeral to follow. But the family is asking in lieu of flowers that people make a donation here. It may be used to buy diapers or to help send the girls to college, but it will be put to good use by the Zinn women.
A true hero isn't measured by the size of his strength, but by the size of his heart. Rich is our hero and always will be, but now Kelly, Annie and Abbie are our new heroines.
