Please join me in making a difference! I'm raising money to benefit Fish Tadesse and PEFAN the organization he started in 1999 in Addis Abeba Ethiopia. Fish and I grew up together in Ethiopia and from his young age, his focus has always been helping the less fortunate.  He was known giving out his sisters clothing to the neighborhood kids and sharing whatever was in the house with strangers which it used to get him in a lot of trouble at home.

The main objective of the organization is to focus on child and youth development with the main goal being to prepare them in self-sufficiency and in becoming contributing members of Ethiopian society. Since its inception in 1999, Pefan has been able to successfully guide over 42 young men and women to attend private elementary and high schools in Addis Abeba. As a result, 27 of them now have earned degrees from  Universities throughout Ethiopia.  Pefan is a proud organization run by volunteers and funded by the generous annual fundraisers that take place in North America.  The great support of Selam Sisters the last 5 years has been a lifesaver, to say the least. This year's fundraiser that was scheduled for Oakland California in April of 2020 was unfortunately cancelled due to Covid-19 and in this difficult times, the lack of funds is impacting the great work of the organization that must continue. This is an organization that truly needs our support as your generous donation will be an investment in Ethiopian youth and their future.

The money collected will go directly to covering the day to day expenses of Pefan's kids like food, clothes, education and health services. Your help and generosity are greatly appreciated!
