This summer, my daughter has been accepted into two incredible educational opportunities that could truly shape her future. She was accepted into an international program through the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), where she will have the opportunity to study and experience the world beyond the United States. She was also accepted into a prestigious academic summer program at Stanford University, where she will be able to deepen her learning, connect with other high-achieving students, and explore her future academic interests.
For a young Black girl, experiences like these are powerful. They expand confidence, leadership, and vision for what is possible. These programs will help her grow academically, build confidence, and expand her vision for the future. The funds will cover the total cost for both programs, room and board, transportation, programming, travel allowing her to participate, experience the world, deepen her learning, and connect with other high-achieving students.
As a mother, I know how powerful experiences like this can be for a young Black girl. Opportunities to travel, learn from new cultures, and study in spaces like Stanford can change the way a young person sees the world and what they believe is possible for their future.
These programs together cost $15,000, and we have about 30 days to raise the funds so she can attend.
I believe it takes a village to help raise and support our young people. I’m inviting our community, friends, and supporters to be part of that village.
If
• 100 people gave $100
or
• 200 people gave $50
we would reach our goal and help make this opportunity possible.
Every donation, share, and word of encouragement means so much.
Your support is not just helping send her to a program.
You’re helping invest in a young Black girl’s education, confidence, and future.
Thank you for being part of her journey.
