As many of you know, our lives shifted dramatically following my 2025 Alzheimer’s diagnosis. We recently took a major step to secure our future by relocating to Greensboro, North Carolina, which successfully reduced our fixed monthly living expenses by 23%.

Now, Linda and I are focusing on the next critical piece of our survival: building long-term, sustainable self-sufficiency.

Depending on the shifts in the economy, we face a monthly income gap of $1,500 to $2,000 to cover our baseline living and medical needs. Rather than relying solely on ongoing support, Linda and I have developed a comprehensive Sustainability Plan to earn this income ourselves through our writing, consulting, and creative work.

Because my health will have unpredictable ups and downs, we have structured our plan into "Linda-only," "Greg-only," and "Joint" income streams. This ensures that if one of us is temporarily unable to work due to illness, our financial foundation remains stable.

What This Campaign Funds

We are not asking for a handout; we are asking for an investment in our ability to work. We have a solid roadmap to launch our freelance services, enhance our online stores, and start digital media channels by October 1, but we lack the immediate capital to purchase the physical and digital tools required to start.

For Linda’s Studio: A professional art easel and initial high-quality art supplies to fulfill custom portrait commissions and craft creations.

For Greg’s Media Production: Specialized video production lighting and a high-quality microphone set to produce narrated videos and health/advocacy podcasts.

Digital Infrastructure: Upfront software subscriptions for design, automated online store hosting, and digital tools (such as Canva and video editing platforms) to get our freelance listings live on Fiverr and LinkedIn.
