Investigating the reason behind my urinary infection.

Hi everyone, my name is Bianca and I'm fundraising for investigating the reason as to why I have a urinary infection that doesn't go away for the past 2 and a half years.

In Autumn 2021, I started to feel the urge of going to the toilet every 5 minutes after drinking a sip of water.

I booked an appointment to see the GP and was given to do a urinary test to send to the laboratory. The results came back positive with infection and blood present in the urine. I was given antibiotics, finished the course and nothing changed. I went back to the GP for another urinary test, the same results came back. I was given antibiotics again and still nothing changed. When I asked to be referred to the Urology department, they asked me to do a urinary test again. This time they said that the results came back fine, so no need for a referral. I insisted that my symptoms are the same but they refused to refer me. At this point I gave up insisting and just waited to see if my symptoms would get any better by itself. During this period, I stopped drinking the normal amount of water that I needed to drink as a human. Everyday I drunk less and less as it was really bothering me to go to the toilet so frequently. I got to the point where I don't even feel the need to drink anything.

I work as a nanny so I can't be sitting on the toilet all day long.

In 2022/2023 I went to A&E twice hoping that they would do further investigations, but nothing. The results came back positive with infection and blood in urine. I was given antibiotics once more, and again nothing changed.

In Autumn 2023, I decided to go to a private Urologist. There I did several tests and they all came back positive with infection. As this consultation + the tests costed me £700 in one go, I decided I couldn't continue private. I asked the Doctor to write a letter to the GP with the results and request for me to be seen at the hospital.

Well, this did happen in 2024 at Queen Mary's Hospital (Roehampton) and I can confess it was the most horrible medical appointment I have ever been to. The Urologist spoke to me with so much rudeness and discharged me with no solution. I have made a complaint against the Doctor but I assume no one took it serious.

Right now I feel like the only solution is to go private, although I am aware that it's very expensive. However, I'm counting on your help to make this possible.

Please help me so I can find a solution, any help as little as it can be will definitely help me. I have no idea of the costs, but I'm just putting a target of £5000, it could cost more or less than this.
