The Cause...
Founded in 2006, and located on 40 sprawling acres in Marion, WI, Happily Ever After is a 501c3 non-profit organization, started because of one young woman’s passion for helping companion animals and her desire for the community she lived in to play a role in bringing about a no-kill nation; one where needless euthanasia is displaced by other life-saving solutions. Ten short years later it has evolved into something much larger than one young woman’s passion.

The Opportunity Before Us...
In 2010, we opened our first satellite adoption facility in Green Bay, WI. This humble facility served us well for our first 5 years. We are ready to take our operations to the next level. We have seen increased adoptions, increased volunteer staff, increased in-kind donations and increased traffic -flow and now will see an increase in space to accommodate these needs. A generous donor is affording us the opportunity to move our operations into a 3,000 square foot building located at 2255 Fox Heights Lane. The building has recently been gutted and needs financial backing to bring the vision to life! Our new adoption center will offer an unexpected experience for adopters, volunteers, donors and visitors that are accustomed to a traditional shelter environment. In addition to the animal care necessities, the experience will be highlighted by barn board accent trims, home-like furnishings and larger than life visual reminders of the four legged lives the organization is working to save. These additional touches will help us share the breadth of our story that includes the work at our Marion, WI Sanctuary.
On any given day, the adoption center will house 45-60 kittens/cats and 6-12 puppies/dogs who are seeking their opportunity to connect with their forever family. In the past two years alone, we have placed more than 850 animals via our existing adoption facility. The new locale will also serve as an education center for children and adults alike to learn about animal safety and care. This new home will provide space for community members to gather and make a change in the lives of others, both two and four legged!
