I am a Director and Award Winning Actress.
I have made two thought provoking films so far about the things that are important to me.
First was helmet safety when I was 11, my Directing Debut.
Second was anti Teen vaping when I was 12. This film 'Grape' won Multiple international awards, won me the Queensland Young Achiever of the Year Award for my contribution to Community or Family Safety and has gone into over 1700 schools so far this year.
Both of these were short films.
Now I am tackling a bigger and issue and that requires a bigger platform, so we are aiming higher and making a Feature Film this time.
My new film is called "My Inheritance" and its about a teen girl as she ventures into her first relationship using the relationships around her as an example for appropriate behaviours, for better or worse. We are using alot of the same crew this time as we have proven our ability to make quality content together.
Trust me when I say I know the total figure we need to raise is daunting. The reality is the more we can raise even on top of that the better. As we could get even better equipment, entice more talent to project, enter more festivals, hire better locations, hold private screenings and more.
My Pre Production Team has figured out what we need for each step of the way. So without us getting all the way to target we would be able to lock in dates and start filming when we have just about half the funds. We would need the rest though to be able to edit and finish the film. But to get there I need to ask for everyones help please. Please donate, please share, please ask your businesses if they are interested in business sponsorship, share it with any contacts you have. Anything please that will help get this change making film made.
My Inheritance

SYNOPSIS:
Harriet, an only child witnessing the hidden cracks in her seemingly perfect family struggles with the polarity between her parents carefully curated public image and the controlling behaviour she sees behind closed doors. On entering her own first relationship she unknowingly accepts coercive behaviours as normal, replicating the power imbalances she witnesses at home. Harriet finds a suprising ally in her best friends Dad who overhears some of the behaviours being shared. Together they work to highlight the concerning traits and to recognise the qualities of healthy, safe love. But are they too late?
