Hi! My name is Lydia Santos and I am currently a Nursing student at Midway University. I am looking to get my ADN by May 2027 and start working so that I may continue my education and return to obtain my BSN and eventually, God willing, my master's. Fingers crossed.
I am excited to embark on this journey since it has been my dream to be a nurse and help people since I was a little girl. Things hardly ever go as planned, and I have found myself getting deviated from my destiny for some time, but I am back and willing to see it through till the end. I am a very caring and compassionate person with a strong independent mindset, but life gets in the way sometimes, and you have to find a way to get over those hurdles.
I completed 1 year at Midway already and successfully got into the Nursing program this Fall 2025. I love it this far, even with its challenges. Nothing comes easy, right? But I feel like I am on the correct path that God had for me years ago. It feels right! Unfortunately, I fell short this semester with financial aid, and even with student loans, I still find myself short. I am currently on a payment plan this semester and struggling to make deadlines. I am expecting to have the same issue for next semester and am reaching out to my community, friends, and family for help if you are able to do so.
I never thought I'd find myself doing this, but I feel like I won't be able to advance if I can’t pay for the balances left over. I am asking for donations to further my education and accomplish my goals. Through my career, I know I can help a lot of people, and I can’t wait to do so. So please, if you are able, please donate to my cause so that I may continue my Nursing Education.
I have 2 boys, an 8-year-old and a 11-year-old, and they have been equally, if not more, excited on this new Nursing journey with me and push me to work harder every single day. They are a big part of my success in school, and I aim to demonstrate to them that I CAN do it and they have someone they can look up to and be inspired by my struggles and determination to see this through.
Thank you for taking the time to read this long message, and I appreciate you!
