Hello,
My name is Goksu, and I am a glass and ceramics artist. In June 2025, I successfully completed my master’s degree in glass with a 3.7 GPA. Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the way glass captures light, preserves memory, and transforms through fire. Every piece I create is a dialogue between fragility and resilience, between time and emotion. I love creating; many of my works are inspired by the American National Parks I admire, especially Glacier National Park.
I am planning to attend a workshop at the Corning Museum of Glass, one of the most prestigious centers for glass art in the world. This workshop is not only an educational opportunity but also a chance to connect with world-class artists, explore new techniques, and bring my artistic vision to life in ways I could never achieve alone.
However, attending this program comes with significant costs, including tuition, materials, travel, and accommodation. My total goal is $2,700, which will allow me to participate without any financial barriers.
As a recent graduate, I unfortunately do not currently have a studio space or materials to continue my work. This is where I need your support. Even the smallest contribution will bring me one step closer to this life-changing opportunity. Your generosity is not only financial support but also an investment in creativity, growth, and the continuation of a lifelong passion. Applications are currently open but will close on October 15. I hope to have your support to make it possible to apply before the deadline.
I promise to share this journey, my work, and unforgettable experiences with everyone who supports me.
Expenses:
Application Fee: $20
Course Fee: $1,075
One-week room & board (shared room): $660
Meal expenses: $100
Flight/transportation: $750
TOTAL: $2,605
(I set my goal at $2,700 to account for possible platform fees.)
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in me and helping me pursue this dream.
Goksu
