Inver Grove Fire Captain Needs Your Help

Hi, my name is Robin Rank and I am fundraising for my son Paul and his family. Paul is a Captain with the Inver Grove Heights Fire Department. Paul is currently on unpaid leave from his job. He was diagnosed with PTSD and has recently completed an intensive in-patient treatment program through the International Association of Fire Fighters in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. The City of Inver Grove Heights told Paul he could return to work when he was certified fit for duty by a doctor. The IAFF medical staff has given that certification to Paul. Paul is also seeing his therapist regularly and she has deemed him fit to return to duty. Paul’s psychiatrist also supports the determination that he is fit to return to duty. The City is not accepting any of these professional opinions and continues to prevent Paul’s return to work. He has been on leave for 7 months and has exhausted his PTO. The city is also fighting his workman’s comp claim for an injury that is clearly work related. Paul and Ashley need help paying their bills and feeding their children until he can get back to work.
