Hello world Joe and Kevin here
We are full time vintage clothing resellers currently on a cross country road trip from Cape Coral, Florida to Los Angeles, California for Thriftcon
(the biggest clothing convention in the world)
On our 17 day journey, day 3 we stopped in San Antonio Texas.
We arrived at our hotel around 3:50am early Saturday morning on December 3rd.
That morning when Kevin woke up he discovered our trailer was stolen..
Thankfully our car wasn’t messed with
(too much)
unfortunately the thieves did unscrew the oil cap and caused the car to leak out all the oil…
Sadly there was no cameras at the hotel or anywhere around that could capture anything for that matter…
Soon after informing the hotel staff, Officer Stone, with the San Antonio Police Department came to file the stolen trailer. Stone stated that they could be anywhere at this point and that he will start the investigation finding these thieves.
Literally all of Kevin and I’s inventory was in that trailer… Over 1000+ items, some items being truly irreplaceable…
A rough value inside is at least 50K..
not including the clothings racks, display racks, all our setup materials, everything for the show.
We spent that day at a Toyota dealership making sure the car was safe to continue our drive to California.
We are in absolute shock this happened to us.
Everything we’ve worked so hard for taken in seconds.
Despite losing everything, we are still making our way to Thriftcon & we are trying to make the best of this unfortunate situation.
We will come back stronger then ever from this!

This has been our livelihood for over 4+ years now and this has effected us hard…
We’ve spent hundreds of hours & thousands of dollars curating these items and building our small bushiness’s from the ground up.
