Expired due to covid-19 05-13-1968 - 08-14-2020
My mother Marta Vera has been battling covid-19 for about 3 weeks already, the first week she and i had no idea that it was covid we were dealing with as many of her close friends knew about the abcess she had on the back of her head caused an infection and therefore caused a fever that lasted a whole week, she had no other symptom that pointed to covid. On july the 21st i finally decided to call an ambulance because she was hyperventaling and broke down because she had absolutely no stregnth at all. She was taken to urgent care where they said that her oxygen levels were very low and she finally was tested positive she also already had advanced pneomonia,
. keep in mind my mommy never had any other symotom other than weakness and a fever. Then once they found a room available they transferred her to edinburg regional her oxygen was still very low and she was unable to breath on her own. She was then taken into ER. Four days ago she coded and thank god they brought her back to life. She is now intubated in ICU which caused pneuomothorax, she is stable in a medically induced coma but she is unable to breathe on her own. I hope and pray that she is a survivor who can tell us her story. Im lucky to have such great family and friends supporting my brother and i. Since my mother, my daughter and i live together it has now become a financial crisis for us. I will become responsible for everything my mommy had going for me and my daughter, a roof over our heads our vehicles and more importantly her business. Please help me, help my mom because i have faith in god that she will make it and come back home to me. We are not giving up and neither are the doctors i thank god i have great communication with them and im grateful that they reassure me that theyre doing everything they can to save her. Thank you for all of your prayers and concerns. Anything is greatly appreciated by my family and i. And please
feel free to contact me for any updates. Thank you and god bless all of you.
UPDATE: My mother has unfortunately passed away, lost the battle to covid-19 on Friday 08-14-2020. Words cannot explain the hurt my brother my family and I are experiencing, I’m at a loss for words as she was my rock, my backbone and now I won’t ever be able to hold her or kiss her or talk to her or see her anyone who knows me knows that my mother and I were two peas in a pod and she’d put her hands in the fire for me she always had my back and I always had hers I feel helpless without her I’m lost, I’m broken, I’m sad, I haven’t had time to fully grieve and neither has my brother, it’s like ripping my heart out. I don’t have my father in my life to lean on or rely on all I have left is my brother and his father and his step mother who have gladly offered to be there for me during this difficult situation that will never get better for me, I’m incomplete, but I have to be strong because I know she was... I still thank each and every one of you kind hearted people who have kept her in your prayers and have donated for such expenses I have now been left with since I am now left in charge of keeping a roof over the heads of my daughter and I. Unfortunately the world keeps turning people move on and bills do not wait on anyone. I have to be strong for my brother and especially my baby girl. It will be hard but we will make sure to keep her memory alive and she will never be forgotten. My mother was a trooper but she was tired and now she is happy and at peace with her mommy and daddy up in heaven, watching over us. God bless all of you.
services will take place at Vaughn funeral home in Edinburg, on Friday the 21st from 5-9 pm, I welcome anyone to go and pay their respects and see her for the last time. Once again thank you and I love you all.
