"One ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" - Benjamin Franklin
In the US, preventative nutrition services are not covered by insurance. On average, US students receive less than 8 hours of required nutrition education each school year. Access to nutrition counseling and education decreases dramatically as families near or fall below the poverty line. Families in our community are falling behind as they battle preventable disease and accumulate medical-related debt.
Nutrition for All is a nonprofit organization that will place nutrition professionals throughout the Twin Cities to provide low income and underserved families with nutrition education, counseling, and medical nutrition therapy. The goal of Nutrition for All is to increase access to nutrition services by working directly with families in need. We strive to reduce the prevalence of preventable disease, decrease per capita cost of healthcare, and strengthen the current healthcare reform movement by providing invaluable data on the impact of preventive nutrition.
"Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean" — Ryunosuke Satoro
Each dollar donated is poured directly into educating our families and growing our program. Through prevention-focused education, your money is transformed into priceless skills that will echo throughout generations, save hundreds of thousands of dollars on medical bills, and contribute to the future of healthcare.
