There are all kinds of missionaries. Church planting, medical care, homeless shelters, all serve an invaluable purpose in building relationships and loving on people.
Where do I fit in? I share stories.
“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” – Isaiah 52:7
As a writer I have the privilege and responsibility of sharing stories of hope and compassion with the world because I believe that stories encourage us that not all is lost in this world. Finding light in the darkest of places reminds us that there are good people out there doing good work. Not everyone can be out in the mission field witnessing the amazing things that happen everyday. Missionary writers like me serve as the eyes and ears of the people back home so that they know that their prayer and financial support is being used well.
It’s my honor to share those stories so that the people doing the good and the ones receiving the good are not forgotten. And so people can be encouraged that Christ is alive and well and He is moving around us all the time. Sometimes we just need to read a story to be reminded of that.
If you have been encouraged by the stories I have shared please consider giving and allow me to continue to share those stories of hope and life change with the world.
