Into The Seventeen Towers

My name is Jareth Navratil, and I am the author of the soon-to-be-published novel, Into The Seventeen Towers.

Before I introduce you to my novel and the reason for this crowdfunding request, I would like to introduce you to the memory of my grandfather, Sidney "Zdenek" Navratil. He was a modern-day Leonardo da Vinci — a graphic design artist by day, a sculptor, painter, amateur inventor, and writer by night. Not to mention the warmest and most caring individual to ever walk this earth. The Seventeen Towers was a collection of fairy tales he penned throughout his adult life, with family members and close friends earning characters and arcs in the weaving of his story's fabric.

Sadly, he passed away before his story was finished…

Discovering his unfinished manuscript began my own Hero's Journey, answering the call of my grandfather and setting forth on an adventure through his pages.

To say writing Into The Seventeen Towers was transformative would be a gross understatement, as I stand a wholly changed individual from the experience. I am proud beyond words that the tale will soon be published, and it is my deepest wish that its pages find their way into the hands of at least one person who may benefit as much as I from the journey.

This brings me to my request…

I elected to sign with a hybrid publisher for Into The Seventeen Towers. If you are unfamiliar with the business model, a hybrid publisher allows authors to retain full rights to their works and intellectual properties but asks the author to shoulder some of the production cost. I want to be completely clear and transparent, regardless of help from this crowdfunding campaign, Into The Seventeen Towers WILL BE published. My wonderfully supportive wife and I have shouldered that cost entirely. This campaign is asking for assistance with marketing to give my book the best chance possible during its initial publication.

All funds donated will be utilized for a marketing campaign on social media and Amazon, an author website, and potentially funding an audiobook production.
