INTO DUST Film impact campaign
From Oscar-winning director Orlando von Einsiedel, INTO DUST tells the extraordinary true story of Perween Rahman, a woman who
worked tirelessly to protect the rights of Pakistan’s poor. Set against the backdrop of a global water crisis, Perween’s story highlights the dangers of what can happen when our water starts to run out.
Into Dust is more than a film, it is a campaign for change. Our hope is to use this film to support Perween Rahman’s legacy and to support
the Orangi Pilot Project , the organization she led, to continue its groundbreaking work. The Orangi Pilot Project has created many innovations that continue to resonate globally, chief among them community-led infrastructure building, a holistic approach to water and sanitation, and creating income-generating activities for women and young people.
Perween Rahman dedicated her life to the stewardship of the OPP. On March 13, 2013, Perween was killed when four gunmen opened
fire on her vehicle near her office, ending her long career of working for water and land rights. Her family and friends at OPP continue to
fight for justice in the courts.
Today, we ask you to help us keep Perween's legacy alive by donating to the Orangi Pilot Project. OPP is now led by Perween's formidable
sister, Aquila Ismail, who is an author and engineer. Your contribution will enable OPP to continue its important work.
