Intimate Betrayal and Divorce- She Needs OUR Support

Updates as of 9.20.25
Jennifer FINALLY went to court yesterday for the extension of the protective order but it does NOT protect her child. Additionally, over the past month, she discovered:
  • all utilities have not been paid,
  • house payments have gone unpaid,
  • her cell phone was disconnected,
  • her wifi was disconnected
  • her husband stopped paying for her son to attend school,
  • her car payment was not paid,
  • and she has not received a penny in support.
All those items are in her husband's name and she does not have access to the accounts. He has forwarded all the bills to his new address so she remained unaware of their status.

She however, has risen to the challenge, got a part time job and is fighting for her family.

Currently, We are in desperate need for enough money to retain an attorney. As of last month, Not a Casserole Widow is now a non profit. This means if you want to donate as a tax deductible, you can do so below. Jennifer receives all the money you give. Would you please consider donating?

Update as of 8.8. We are still in need.
She needs money for legal fees. Have you ever wondered what happens when the electricity is in someone else’s name and you have no idea if the bill is being paid because you have no access to the account? Or your wireless account? Or your internet? Or your water? Imagine the daily anxiety that would cause.

If you are local and want to help, she needs someone to mow her yard. It’s been mowed once this year and due to her extreme allergies, she cannot mow.
She needs an electrician to connect her stove.

No one should ever have to experience the pain of betrayal, especially from the person they loved and trusted most. This is a courageous, faithful woman who has recently faced a devastating betrayal in the form of intimate deception, leading to divorce. She is part of our community at Dayton Christian. Despite the pain and turmoil, this woman is determined to rebuild her life and provide a better future for her young son. However, she needs our support to make that possible.

Her story is one of heartbreak and survival. She is what I identify as "Not a Casserole Widow®"—a term that recognizes the unique challenges of a woman who has lost a husband to betrayal, not death. In a traditional widowhood, a woman might receive an outpouring of support from her community. But in cases like hers, where the marriage has ended in divorce due to betrayal, the social safety net that typically exists for widows is often missing. She’s not receiving casseroles, sympathy, or the comforting support that others in her situation might expect.

But her pain is real. And it's compounded by an immediate crisis:
Financial Abuse and Control: Her husband has removed her access to funds, leaving her without the means to pay for essential needs like food, shelter, and utilities.

Fear for Safety: She is afraid for her safety and well-being, both emotionally and physically, as she navigates the complicated process of divorce and a broken relationship.

Young Son: She has a young child who depends on her, adding another layer of responsibility and urgency to her situation.

Why the Funds Are Needed:

The financial support she needs is critical for her to regain control of her life and begin the healing process. Your generous contributions will provide her with:

Legal Fees: Assistance with the cost of divorce proceedings, legal representation, and custody arrangements.

Emergency Living Expenses: Support for her mortgage, utilities, and basic living expenses so she can provide a safe, stable environment for her son.

Safety and Protection: Funding for security measures and resources to ensure her safety as she moves forward.

Basic Necessities: Funds for food, clothing, and medical expenses for herself and her son.

Therapy and Emotional Support: Access to counseling and coaching services to help her heal from the emotional trauma of betrayal and the upcoming challenges of single motherhood.

Every cent you donate goes directly to her.
