Welcome to the story of Interwoven Souls, a dark fantasy road-trip novel based in a magical world full of lies and deception. The story follows an insecure human named Mono and a dragoness named Vera as the unlikely pair of adventurers set off to break her curse.
About me:
My pseudonym is DragonicTails! My pronouns are She/Her. I've been writing short stories for over 3 years and have been writing Interwoven Souls for over the past year! I've always wanted to become a self-published author and this book is my first attempt at really making this a reality. I'm wanting to put my best "paw" forward to make this dream come to life, but to make this possible I need the support from all of you!
About The Project:
- The story takes place in a world similar to ours, with cities and humans. But unlike our universe, this land is filled with talking creatures of both anthro and feral nature, the powers of Pure and Dark Magic governing the wilds outside the town where our story begins.
- Unlike our world, one of the key differences is the presence and normality of vore in society. Part of living alongside animals means that one creature eating another is not uncommon, and while laws have been put in place to help regulate this, many cities like the one our main characters take place in don't take it as seriously. This story helps to show others who may be unsure how they feel about the topic or even introduce others to it in a way that show's the different perspectives of vore and the love behind it.
- This is a book for adults only. While the story and plot are the main focus, there will be adult themes throughout. This will span from erotic scenes with character to themes about depression and suicide. Do take warning in this before backing as this book deals with difficult topics.
- Current Status: With Vera and Mono now out in The Wilds, their journey is about to take a turn, one of which they will never be the same from afterward. The secrets that have been kept hidden will soon be revealed and their perseverance even when faced with the horrifying truth will waver. Only time will tell how the story ends, so won't you help to make their story visually come true?
Why Make a Second Fundraiser?
- While the Kickstarter from last year was successful, we never had the official artist decided on until the funds were raised. Because of that, half the money for the art was raised, but that left half the art unpaid for. This fundraiser hopes to raise the remainder of the money needed to continue the art so that we can give the book the best visuals it can get!
- The art will still be purchased for the book regardless of the support raised her, as that was promised in the previous Kickstarter. This will simply help raise the money as the funding goal for the project was higher than anticipated.

What drives me to make this?
- I've always enjoyed reading books about talking animals but I found that rarely any ever delved into more serious and mature themes that I feel I could have enjoyed and felt more connected to as an adult. My goal is to create a story that feels real and genuine, an adventure of both passion and sadness, one you can remember that leaves an impression on you. One that can make you feel. Whether that be from the mature nature or from the story itself, I hope to take you on a journey you won't forget.
Release Schedule:
- Each chapter of the book will be released on a monthly basis for free on FurAffinity and all the other previous chapters are already available to read there as well! The art pieces will be posted alongside the stories to give visuals for it all, we just need the funds raised to make the purchase of the material more manageable.
Goals for the project:
- With the artist already chosen, each piece will cost around $100 - $160 per piece, and with 12 chapters left, putting aside $100 for each will cover the majority of the cost. Anything above that will help to cover the rest and fund me while writing this project.
- $1,250: - Base price for all art
- $1,500: - Fully cover all art
- $2,000: - Fund a special art piece once the book is finished <3
- I will be commissioning the art pieces regardless of the fundraiser as it was promised in the previous Kickstarter, but any support here will help to make this easier on me and to bring forth the best art possible!
