Hello, my name is Jusiah Prowell and I am a fourth-year doctoral student, in counseling psychology at The University of Akron. I am raising money so I can apply to internship this coming fall semester. This doctoral program is the hardest thing I have ever had to do; however, through prayers, hard work and perseverance I have reached the end. One of the few remaining hurdles for me is applying for internship, and the cost associated is stifling. The recommended number of internship sites to apply to is 15, which would cost me roughly 500 dollars. In addition, some interviews require me to go and visit the site meaning plane tickets, hotel stays and other travelling costs, which I will have to pay for personally. Being a poor college student that is a sizable sum. All funds will go directly to paying for applications and travel expenses for internship interviews. I realize that times are hard right now. But I am asking for help to reach my goal, that has been 27 years in the making.

I am humbled beyond words at how much love and support I have received so far. My internship applications will be paid for and I cannot thank everyone enough for that. The only thing left is the travel expenses that I will accrue along the way. I ask for you all’s continued support. I cannot thank you all enough for your help in this final push to get me to Dr. Prowell.
