Danke ❤️

Hello, my name is Dirk. On my last vacation, I had the privilege of traveling with 2 indigenous families from the Kichwa community of Playas de Cuyabeno, including their children from the Victor Davalos Community School, in the Ecuadorian rainforest. It was a fantastic nature experience that reaffirmed my respect for the indigenous people living there, who work every day to protect nature and the environment and manage their lives under often difficult conditions. I also learned that the community school with 160 children has not had internet for two years for structural and financial reasons. At the same time, the hardware is old and damaged by the humid climate, as is the air conditioning system to prevent humidity. Digital education, the use of computers and social communication over short and long distances are indispensable today. For equal opportunities and self-determination, for participation and equality in the digital age, the Internet is indispensable. But for us too, invaluable knowledge from nature, the animal and plant world and climate protection would be lost or not directly accessible without the connections to indigenous people living there. I am launching this fundraising campaign not only to establish this connection, but also to enable the children and teachers of this community to exchange ideas with children and teachers from other cities and countries for their mutual benefit. Internet for one year, including set-up, costs 3220 dollars. If more is donated, investments in hardware and air conditioning can be made. Thank you in advance, especially as I know how many necessary and worthy projects there are everywhere. Together in solidarity and without borders into the future! Thank you
