My name is Nasir Hossain and I am fundraising for a Bangladeshi student Muhammad Fazlul Karim living in Sydney recently diagnosed with abdomen Cancer ( Mesothelioma).

The donation money is fully (less gofundme fee) transferred Muhammad’s bank account. He is using the money for his chemotherapy and treatment.

Writing below in his words:

I am a Bangladeshi student. I arrived in Australia on the 26th June 2025. I was diagnosed with Mesothelioma (abdominal cancer) on the 9th Dec 2025. While I was in Bangladesh doctors in there found some infections in my liver, however there was no cancer or any other disease identified, but the doctor suggested me to do a health check later in Australia. My Student Health Cover No 22539902 from Bupa (valid until 14th Sept 2027). The insurance only paid partial cost of my two initial invoices totalling $700, they did not accept any of my claim and put a 12 month waiting period of my claim. To survive I need to continue my treatment, I am now going to specialist referred by General Practitioner. I have already taken 4 chemotherapies. The doctor has given more plans for chemotherapy and then they will decide going forward. Each chemotherapy costs about $3000 including doctor’s follow-up, medicine, nurse etc. Legally I can work 24 hours a week, however due to my health and mental condition I even cannot do it now. I am a married person having 2 kids (8 years son and 5 years daughter) and a wife in Bangladesh. I am coming from a middle-class family and do not have financial support from elsewhere. Thus I am now in extremely financial, mental and physical hardship. It would be of extremely helpful if all of you can kindly contribute for me to overcome this situation.
