Hello, my name is Miranda Lucas.  I am 15 years old and in 10th grade at Strasburg High School in Virginia.  I play the viola and dream of doing so professionally.  This semester, I earned the opportunity to play with Shenandoah University's Conservatory Orchestra.  I also ranked 8th chair in the Virginia All State High School Orchestra.  

I have been accepted into the Interlochen Arts Academy, which is an internationally accredited boarding high school, located in Michigan, for students who excel at music & arts.  Tuition is $60,000 per year, not including travel expenses.  Interlochen offered me a $50,000 scholarship to attend, but my family cannot afford the remaining $10,000 to send me.  I will need to raise funds in order to attend Interlochen.  The first payment is due April 10th for me to be able to enroll with the balance being due over the course of the school year. 

If you would be willing to sponsor me for any amount, I would really appreciate it.  Attending Interlochen Arts Academy would be a major step for me to be able to make connections and receive specialized training in viola performance that will allow me to achieve my dreams.
