Intentional Poisoning : A Miracle For Ember
Donation protected
I’m asking for help to ease the cost of trying to save the life of my beautiful Doberman Ember Reign. On Wednesday evening Ember was intentionally poisoned while she played outside in her dog run. I came home to her unresponsive and blue. I rushed her to Veterinary Emergency Service West, Plymouth Michigan. It was found that her blood pressure was severely low, heart rate low, and she was not oxygenating. They diagnosed her with methehemoglobinemia. They confirmed she had been poisoned and started supportive treatment to attempt to stabilize her. She has been there 30 hours as of today and now she has progressed into an anemic state as her liver attempts to rid the destroyed blood cells. Because of this they recommended I transport her to Michigan State University Veterinary Medical Center so that they could give her blood products to keep her alive and allow her a chance. Of course, this is expensive. But she’s my baby, I paid for her mom to have a c-section to save her at birth, I bottle fed her, trained her, raised her to be nothing less than a gentle giant… Just to have someone try to rip that away from me. I located a baseball size clump of peanut butter in her run, it was full of crushed pills. MSU analyzed the pills and found them to be 500mg tablets of Tylenol. Currently she’s hospitalized at MSU Vet Medical Center, she’s severely swollen, blood counts are going down - she’s about to get transfusion, she’s fighting liver failure and trying excrete the toxins in her blood. The vet said as long as she doesn’t go into complete liver failure and we can keep her hospitalized and getting the necessary treatments she can survive. This takes money. Please if you can, help me save my baby from an unnecessary death. She doesn’t deserve this.
My current bill is $7555.40
They have quoted me 4-6k more
