Insurgent Fitness Relief fund

As we come to terms with the health crisis here in Flagstaff, our vibrant and essential fitness industry, fitness trainers, and our own members who work in the hospitality industry, are staring down the possibility of economic catastrophe.
Currently there is little help to our service oriented workers- from hospitality workers to fitness trainers- and though many may apply for full or partial unemployment, there is no 100% rent forgiveness and unemployment payments take time to arrive (and even when they do, the amount received is often not enough to cover the basic living costs - especially here in Flagstaff where the cost of living is the highest in our state.)
And with any down turn in the economy and health crisis, the fitness industry and the hospitality industry- but more importantly the ground workers, the grunts (the trainers and servers) take the hardest hit.
We have started this fund to be accessible by fitness trainers, and hospitality works, whose hours have been curtailed, because of this crisis and who are not being otherwise compensated.
To distribute the funds, we've created a short survey to help us prioritize those in our community most at-risk and in need. All information shared remains confidential. Our aim is to provide everyone who applies with emergency funds, but we will prioritize the Fitness and hospitality members of our community. Applicants will be asked, and encouraged, to sign up for unemployment coverage to get a full scope of what support is needed.
We are Morgan and Michelle Baggs; we have lived in Flagstaff for nearly 9 years. We moved to this beautiful city so Michelle could continue her pursuit to become a paramedic and she has been with Guardian Medical for nearly 10 years and is currently serving on the front lines of the COVID-19 health crisis the nation is facing.
We both love health and fitness, with Morgan currently the lead Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor at Insurgent Fitness and Michelle serving as the lead Fitness trainer (on top of her full time job as a Paramedic).
It matters to both of us, for we have come to love all of our members here at Insurgent Fitness, our trainers, and our coaches, that every member of our community survives this crisis- not only financially, but spiritually, individually, but more importantly as a community.
Help us, help those who are being effected during this hard and crazy time.
Please consider donating or sharing if you are unable to give at this time.
