On behalf of our family, we’re reaching out to ask for help for our little brother, John, who is living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Until recently, his arm supports were covered by insurance, but now at the age of 24 years old they have now denied further coverage, stating that he has “exceeded his life expectancy.” This has left our family in a very difficult position.
John is wheelchair-bound and no longer has use of his arms. These specialized arm supports are essential for his comfort and daily well-being. Without them, he faces significant discomfort and additional health challenges.
The total cost of the arm supports is $14,000. Thanks to the generosity of a few donors, we’ve been able to raise part of that amount, but we still have an outstanding balance of $7,500.
Any support—whether through donations or simply sharing this message—would mean so much to John and our family.
Thank you for taking the time to read and for any help you can offer.
