The Story
Since 2018 – when Dr Aaron McKain “crossed the filter bubble” and became an “echo chamber diversity hire" at a MAGA Bible college in Minneapolis (until '23) – the student & expert-founded Institute for Digital Humanity has been a “unicorn”:
- "Impossible" coalitions w/ orgs programmed to hate each other.
- Award-winning bipartisan AI and privacy solutions.
- Proven fixes for censorship & the college free speech crisis
- Disinformation-fighting networks to reunite divided citizens
- Running laps around our allies for pennies on the dollar.
WHY WE'RE THE LAST MANHATTAN PROJECT STANDING

THE IDH HAS BEEN CAUGHT IN THE CHAOS OF MINNEAPOLIS. TWICE.
- In 2020 – after the Bible school hosted the Floyd Memorial – DH pivoted to keeping our city safe & sane: Bipartisan town halls & civic forums, international juried art exhibitions, cross-cultural journalism networks, and raising $26k in mutual aid to make sure our partners were fed. Then we got evacuated and shot at.
- In Jan 2026 – as we tried to re-launch – our city blew up again.
