Fair City Unity (FCU) are delighted to announce that a safe standing section has been approved for McDiarmid Park on the condition that supporters raise £10,000 towards installation costs.

A safe standing section will be a pivotal step in enhancing our atmosphere and matchday experience — something we’ve been striving towards since our groups formation 10 years ago.

Achieving this goal would be massive for not only our group but also for those fans who fill the section and the surrounding areas.

Although the section will not be limited to FCU, with all like-minded supporters encouraged to make use of the facility. FCU have agreed to shoulder responsibility in regard to collating the supporters contribution.

In order for the safe standing section to be implemented, we are asking for the goodwill of the wider St Johnstone support by asking for there help in making it a reality by making a financial contribution — all contributions, no matter how insignificant you may consider it to be, will make a difference.

In addition to the GoFundMe account, the group will be accepting cash donations on home matchdays at our stall, and at strategic points across the stadium environs.

All funds will be deposited directly to St Johnstone Football Club.

Together, we can make safe standing a reality, along with creating a sense of unity and showcasing the passion our team deserves.
