Inspire - Financial Literacy Campaign
Tax deductible
Hi Team,
During the holiday season, it is important to give back to the community and spread holiday cheer. We are all lucky to have great jobs and access to resources but there are many in our community that need a helping hand. In the spirit of giving, a few of us from the Inspire Waltham office have partnered with The Catholic Schools Foundation (CSF) in Boston to go down to the Saint John Paul II Academy in Dorchester, to teach financial literacy to students from grades 4 and 5. 99 % of these students live below the poverty line and receive financial support from CSF.
Speaking with CSF on the most impactful way to give back, we agreed that teaching these children the basics of money management would lay the foundation to build strong money habits early on and avoid many of the mistakes that lead to lifelong money problems. The Associate Business Value Consulting team will be creating the curriculum for this event and we plan to organize lunch and snacks for the 75 students we will be interacting with.
For those of you in the Boston area, my ask is you consider joining us at the school – we could use 2-4 additional volunteers. For those of you that cannot join us, my ask is you consider making a donation towards the purchase of some school supplies. I have created a GoFundMe page to help collect these funds and am hoping we can raise at least $1000 in the next 2 weeks.
