Breast Cancer Medical Expenses for Jordan

Update 8/11/23

Yesterday I saw the 4th doctor who has basically referred me somewhere else. The emergency room apparently didn't put in a COC "continuation of care" so further treatment won't be under the aegis of the ER and therefore covered for an indigent patient. No one has given me a mammogram, just two inconclusive ultrasounds. No biopsy either. I've called countless clinics, doctors, and even oncologists directly. No one will treat me without a diagnosis but I can't get anyone to diagnose me. The doctors and nurses just keep saying the word "cancer" a lot for people who don't want to be on the record as saying it's cancer. I'm still trying. Meanwhile my first bill for my first useless appointment apparently arrived at my house yesterday while I was at the other clinic.

Update 7/29/23

Friday night I wanted to take advantage of the better healthcare facilities in San Antonio (we're visiting family) and went to the emergency room. I was very quickly admitted and seen. They did bloodwork, an ultrasound on my breast, and an x-ray on my chest. The doctor said unfortunately the mass is vascular, which 99% of the time means it's a tumor. He has referred me to the Mays Cancer Center on this coming Monday for a biopsy. I will hopefully know the results that same day or early next week at least. From the research I have done, the highest possibility is Inflammatory Breast Cancer, which is very aggressive and requires aggressive treatment. I'm not sure at this point if I'll be admitted straight away or be sent home to await test results. They do have a program at the Mays Center for uninsured and indigent patients, but I will still have expenses. As always, give if you can, and share either way. I'm in the fight of my life, literally.

I am currently experiencing some extremely scary medical symptoms and need to seek diagnosis and treatment. I am unemployed, uninsured, and have no personal property to sell other than a non-running car.

Until i receive a diagnosis, i won't know what I'm dealing with, so at the moment the goal is only to cover appointments with specialists.

Once i am diagnosed and know what we're dealing with, i will update the goal and the description here.
