Insectoid - Short Film - Crowdfunding

We are raising money to fund the production of our short film INSECTOID. INSECTOID is produced by Harvey/Algernon Productions in association with Strong Side Pictures.

 

Film Logline: After suffering a miscarriage, a couple struggles to come to terms with their new reality while attempting to keep their relationship afloat. As one of the wives tries to reconnect with her partner, the other finds herself wrapped in the belief that her body harbors an unearthly life form, ultimately putting them both in grave danger.

Team Bios -

 

Peter Ellinas (Director/Producer)

 

Peter Ellinas is a Cypriot- American filmmaker. Peter attended Pepperdine University, where he obtained an MFA in Cinematic Media Production. During his time at Pepperdine, Peter’s film HAWK received eleven festival selections and won Best Short Film Editing at the Culver City Film Festival in 2017. Most recently, his film KING OF THE BLUE RIDGE had its world premiere at the TLC Chinese Theater in Hollywood as part of the Golden State Film Festival.

 

James Marios Ellinas (Writer/Director/Producer)

 

Born and raised on the island of Cyprus, James Marios Ellinas earned his MFA in screenwriting at Chapman University. James wrote the screenplay for HAWK (directed by Peter Ellinas). His most recent film, MEAT UP, which he wrote and directed, received several film festival selections. The film made its premiere at the TLC Chinese Theater in 2019, selected by the Golden State Film Festival.

 

Leslie Majda (Producer)

 

Leslie was born and raised in St. Louis, MO and moved to California in 2016 to attend Chapman University, where she earned her MFA. Leslie is an enthusiastic creative producer determined to make excellent films in all genres. Leslie's credits include screenwriter for THRESHOLDS (directed by Daniel Drummond), associate producer for MEAT UP (written and directed by James Marios Ellinas) and TO ALL THE BOYS I'VE F**KED BEFORE (written and directed by Leona Schell).
