Project Green for Impact Italy - by INSEAD alumni

Dear friends,

We are Noemi (MBA 18D) and Giulia (MBA 19D) and we organized this fundraising to help our beloved country, Italy, in this hard situation.
We setup a team of 20 INSEAD alumni, who are supporting us in this initiative, based all over the world, from Europe to China.

This fundraising initiative is endorsed by the NAA Italy and by the Alumni Associations  globally.

N.B.: for all the donors - Do not provide any tipping to the GoFundMe platform. You have to select "Other" in the dropdown list and then put 0€ in the relative box.
The platform will apply a 2,9% commission on the transactions, to cover their transaction costs, and this amount will be deducted directly from the total amount we will raise in the end.

In few days COVID-19 transformed from a far threat to our critical daily reality. 
As you may have heard, our health system is almost at collapse in the North of Italy.

We are facing severe difficulties to:
-find enough space inside hospitals to dedicate to isolation and intensive care to cure infected people
-find enough respiratory support machinery and equipment to cure who needs intensive care or respiratory support
-find enough protective materials (e.g. masks) for doctors, nurses and all the hospitals staff

In very few words, the peak of infections we are facing is higher than what our health system (which is public luckily!) is able to sustain.

Moreover, the virus is already spreading to the South of the country, where the hospitals and the health system is not structured as in the North, and there are much less spots and equipment available for this type of cures.

The INSEAD community all over the world has provided great help to face global emergencies, we hope it could confirm its power in this difficult situation to help our country, that we are sure you all love as much as we do.

The funds will be used to purchase materials like masks, gloves, protective suits and ventilators, which are very much needed by the hospitals in this crisis.
