Brain Injury Awareness with Chris

Chris Tutin’s life changed after a tragic accident on Feb. 8th 2003 left him with a Traumatic Brain Injury. Years later he continues to improve and is often referred to as a “Miracle”. Doctors thought he would never walk or talk again, yet now he is presenting to groups sharing his story and working to prevent others from following in his path.

Support Chris in spreading the word on brain injury awareness.  His message is clear, this is not a story others will want to repeat, quite simply; protect your brain!

Proposal Description

My name is Christopher Tutin and since my dirt bike crash on February 8 th 2003, I have been on a journey to bring awareness of brain injuries to the publics attention, Brain injuries are real, and they do happen.

I’ve had one problem that keeps popping up, and that is lack of funding, or actually no funding.  It is time for my presentations to progress into a well-done educational presentation and I need money, to help it grow.  I am a good presenter with a lack of money, which makes for a plain presentation that the school kids get bored with easily, therefore losing their attention span.

Project Objective

The objective of this community based outreach program, Insanity Education, is to save lives by bringing Brain Injury awareness to the public through personal experience and fact-based information. The program would be presented at local public schools and other public events, as well as local business conferences and seminars.

Sub Objective

To help communities promote safety to prevent head injury, which can be devastating to families, friends and the community.

Activities and Timelines

Insanity Education will deliver a series of ongoing 1-hour presentations about head injury, presentations began on May 30th, 2015 and the project is ongoing.  The goal is to educate the public,  businesses, people supporting brain injury survivors as well as survivors themselves.
