my name is medina (they/them). I am a second year mfa candidate at the new school in nyc.

as a nonbinary trans latinx adoptee, I struggled to find representation. from the books i devoured, to the magazines i so desperately wanted to see myself in, it was as if i didn't exist in mainstream media. it's so important that we see ourselves reflected back at us & equally important that the reflection is authentic.

i am the founding editor of inQluded, but we cannot  sustain ourselves without your support.

online magazine featuring:

fiction

poetry
visual art
MG/YA short stories

our mission

to create a youth-led safe space that honors and celebrates the narratives of underrepresented voices of  QTIBIPoC.

we need your help because...

we believe that all creatives should be paid for their work. we want to be able to pay every contributor and our editorial staff!

here's a breakdown of how your donations will help!

digital space

your donations will help pay our writers/contributors and editorial staff.

event spaces

we want to be able to host events around the city. connecting with community offline is essential! (author panels, socials, etc)

workshops

we want to be able to provide a series of workshops for emerging young QTIBIPoC artists. we want these workshops to be free! in order to make this happen we need to pay for rental space, pay instructors for their time and provide food and drinks. right now we have an incredible opportunity to teach a creative writing workshop at a local LGBTQ homeless drop in-center; your donation would immediately help with these expenses.

misc

website hosting, marketing & promotion, legal, newsletter service, etc

help us continue uplifting the voices of QTIBIPoC youth around the world!

thank you for your support!
