Innovative Cancer Treatment — A Game-Changer

Hello Family & Friends,
Its no secret. I’ve been fighting cancer for ten years, and doing pretty well. However, it seems I have finally exhausted conventional medicine’s toolkit of chemotherapy, radiation, & surgery.
Not being one to give up easily, after extensive research, I believe I have found not just a treatment for this latest tumour, but for the possibility of a much longer-term remission, and dare I hope, maybe even a cure.
This is a legit medical breakthrough, using adaptive dendritic cell immunotherapies, to harness my body’s own immune cells to eradicate cancer. Clinical trials are under way in the US and treatment developments are being advanced by the brainiacs at Johns Hopkins Medicine in Texas. Immunocine is the Houston-based medical centre leveraging this technology and is currently treating patients in Cancun, Mexico.
By using adaptive dendritic cells, patients are seeing amazing results both in the trials and at the Immunocine clinic. The dendritic cells are important to our immune system’s ability to detect disease (viruses, autoimmune disorders, and cancer) as they essentially tell the body where there is a problem and specifically how to fix it. Within the body, cancer cells are very adept at hiding from our immune system. But when these cells are introduced to dendritic cells ex-vivo (in a petrie dish), there is no hiding. It is here that the dendritic cells are “programmed” to recognize my specific cancer DNA and acquire the appropriate immune response. These cells are then injected back into my body, usually at the lymph nodes nearest the tumour(s). Now, my body will do what it is supposed to do—kill the enemy.
And this approach is saving lives (see below for links to research and resources). If this treatment works for me it will move us one step closer to helping all cancer patients in the future. In my ten years of researching, I have never seen something so close to what I would consider a potential cure.
I am covering the $85,000 cost from my savings, but I need help to cover the costs of travel to the clinic (3 times) for myself and a supportive friend/family member. I know this is a big number. It feels awkward to ask for help. But, if you are able to give, any amount, I will be forever grateful.
There is still so much living for me to do. Your generosity and your gift of hope will be advancing cancer research and saving my life.
Can’t donate cash but wondering what to do with Aeroplan points? Donating your surplus Aeroplan points is a great alternative and equally appreciated.
