We are Richard, Nienke, Mieke, and David, four Dutch students from TU Delft. As part of our minor in International Entrepreneurship & Development, we are working with the Indonesia Biru Foundation (IBF) and Cemare Eco Green on a sustainability project in Lombok, Indonesia.
We are raising money to support the Cemare Mangrove which is a unique ecosystem that protects the coast, supports marine life, and provides income for local families. Unfortunately, the area is heavily affected by plastic pollution and limited environmental awareness.
This project is important to us because it combines environmental protection, education, and community empowerment. We want to make a positive impact that lasts beyond our stay.
Your donation will go towards:
- Purchase tools and materials for clean-up actions
- Develop a small prototype for recycling plastic waste
- Design and install educational signs
- Buy additional canoes for eco-tours
All funds will be transferred directly to the Indonesia Biru Foundation, our local partner in Lombok. Together with them, we decide how the money is spent to ensure it is used effectively and benefits the community directly.
By supporting this project, you help:
- Protect one of Indonesia’s most valuable ecosystems
- Strengthen local livelihoods through sustainable tourism
- Inspire future generations to care for their environment
Every contribution, big or small, helps us build a cleaner, fairer, and more sustainable future for Lombok.
