Manifesting Dreams for Innocent
This is Stevenson Innocent, a brillant medical interpreter who I worked alongside while I was in Haiti recently. I was amazed with the genuine care and concern he took with each patient, young and old. He has a natural way of making those he comes in contact with feel listened to, validated and cared for. In essence, he is a born nurturer.
Before the Haiti earthquake of 2010, Innocent was planning for a career in medicine, as a nurse. The earth shook, his world crumbled and he was forced to defer this dream to help support his mother and siblings.
Every now, and again, I come across people I am compelled to help, and he is one. We talked, at length, about not forsaking dreams. He took the inspiration and applied to nursing school!
He has since been accepted to a nursing program at Azure College in Miami!
That is where YOU come in. I have been helping him coordinate admission and student visa status, but we need to raise money for tuition and books.
