Innis and Devon need your help
Donation protected
During the early hours of Tuesday, February 21, surrounded by family and friends, Devon passed away due to complications as a result of his cancer.
It has been a tremendously emotional few days and will continue to be for all of us. Devon was an incredible friend, son, brother, uncle and partner and we are all blessed to have known him in any capacity.
The money raised will now go toward arranging his final wishes. Thank you again for all of your thoughts, prayers and support.

Innis is my cousin, born less than two months after me, so we were what I like to call "built-in best friends". Devon has been part of her life for almost 11 years and, as such, a growing part of mine for the same amount of time. After this much time, he has become as close to a brother as someone can be without being legally related.
Innis and Devon were the first of their friends to get engaged. After two years of dating, Devon proposed to Innis while on vacation in Cuba with their families. They booked the venue, were looking for a hall to host their stag and doe and Innis had started dress shopping.
Around the same time, Devon was let go from his job, putting the wedding on hold indefinitely. That was back in 2008 and was just the first of multiple setbacks experienced by the couple. In 2011, Devon found a new job and they moved in with Innis's aunt to help save money for the wedding, rescheduled for October 2015. Following that, Devon's father passed away in August 2014, putting the union on hold once again. After a few years, they were back on their feet and able to move into their own place and had set a new wedding date: October 2018.
On February 12, 2017, exactly one day before their 11-year anniversary, Devon was diagnosed with an inoperable cancerous tumour in his lung. He will undergo chemotherapy and radiation over the coming weeks in the hopes of shrinking the tumour. Needless to say, their October 2018 wedding is in jeopardy yet again.
As the couple's focus turns to seeing Devon through this incredibly emotional and difficult time, Innis and Devon's friends and family would love nothing more than to see them finally married. They have survived so much as a couple and more than proven themselves to be committed to one another; it's time to make it official (and legal), which is where your support is needed and appreciated.
As we all know, weddings are not cheap, and Innis and Devon need to allot what funds they do have to keeping up with their bills, which is no small feat on one income. They deserve the wedding they dream of but cannot afford to make it happen and are not comfortable asking for handouts, even in this situation.
Your donation will go toward the planning of their much anticipated wedding and help the couple stay afloat financially in the coming months. Any amount will mean the world to them and help a well loved couple realize the goal they've tried so many times to reach.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
