Innes's 13 mile 'try'

Welcome to Innes's fundraising page. Innes is 11 years old and lives in a small village called Clovullin, in the Highlands of Scotland. He LOVES to play rugby and dreams of growing up to play professionally. The problem is our village doesn't have any rugby posts, so Innes has decided he wants to raise money to install some.

On the 24th of May 2026 Innes is going to run from the village to Lochaber Rugby Club (who he plays for) to score a try and kick the conversion. This is a 13 mile run including crossing a loch. The posts are actually one of the nearest options for him to practise on.

His head teacher is going to run with him and Cruise Loch Linnhe are going to transport them across the loch so they don't have to swim.

The money raised will go directly to buying and installing a rugby post in the field next to the school in Clovullin. The field is open to the school and the wider community. If we raise more money we will look to buy some football goals- as there aren't any of those either.

As a small village and school (currently 18 children) we don't have access to the same sporting facilities as others. Innes is taking his dreams into his own hands and trying to make them come true. We hope you can help support him in his endeavours. Any donations are appreciated. Thank you.

13 miles is a long way to have to run to score a try.
