Help Support an Orphan

Tax deductible
This August marks the 20th "Yahrzeit" (anniversary of passing) of our beloved mother, Ronit bat Elimelech, who passed away from cancer on August 25, 1997 (22 Av 5757). Our mother was the center of our family, she always had an open home; she hosted the holidays, family and friendly dinners, and pool parties in the summertime. Our house was the place that welcomed guests to celebrate, get together and just be together.

Our mother was very traditional in her values, she had a strong "Emunah" (trust) in Hashem and loved learning Torah and Kabbalah. Even though we had such a short time with her, we are proud to say that she taught us the most about family, friends and G-d. We believe she has been our guardian angel and all the "Mitzvot" (good deeds) that we do elevate her "Neshama" (soul) to higher spiritual levels, so she can continue to watch over us, guide us, and pray to the Almighty for our best interests, and those of our family and friends.

In honor of her memory, we would like to raise $5,000 for a new bride (or groom), who has been orphaned. A wedding should be a time of immense joy, but orphans are reminded that their parents are no longer with them in a very deep and impactful way. Her parents will not walk her down the aisle. Her parents will never meet her soulmate. Her parents will never meet the children born from their union. Her parents will never teach their grandchildren the values they taught their daughter. The last thing she should be fearful of is having enough funds to pay for the event itself.

Avigdor's Helping Hand provides immediate, emergency, and short-term relief, both financial and non-financial, to families who've lost a parent, and financial assistance to orphans who are planning their weddings. This non-profit organization (http://www.avigdorshelpinghand.org/) will ensure the donation is given directly to the qualified orphan in need.

Your donation contributes to one of the biggest "Mitzvot" in Judaism, known as Hachnassat Kallah and this charity will also give our dear mother, Ronit bat Elimelech's, Neshama an "Aaliyah" (elevation) to be beside Hashem in "Gan Eden" (Heaven) - Amen!

Our love & thanks,
Abby, Rebecca & Joe
