Ms. Rita Pilapil was a beloved Filipino and Lifeskills teacher for many years at James Logan High School.  Her smile was unparalleled and she shared her zest for life freely with those around her.  She recently passed away due to cancer a few months after her retirement.

While Ms. Pilapil had requested that there not be a funeral or memorial service, we would like to honor her legacy by sending some funds to American Cancer Society in her honor. 

Many of us have fond memories of Rita and would like to express them since she has touched so many lives. We are putting together a book of pictures and remembrances of Rita to present to her family. You can send thoughts and pictures to [email redacted].
