In memory of Jacob Peter Sterni

On Tuesday January 10th our beloved oldest son, Jacob Peter Sterni, who had just turned 20 on January 2nd, went to heaven to be with Jesus. He fought for his life for over 6 months being at UCDavis since July 24th with a very rare and aggressive cancer called Burkitt's non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. We had hoped he could beat this terrible disease but it wasn't meant to be. He was surrounded with loved ones when he passed, including my wife, his grandparents, Nana and his brother Luke. While at UCDavis my wife suffered a heart attack and she isn't doing well and I myself had a complete reconstruction of my left ankle and have been on disability since September. Jacob went through months of chemotherapy and entered the hospital weighing 211 lbs. When he passed he was only 120 lbs. Watching him go through so much I realized what a fighter he was. The financial hardship and overwhelming grief has been a tremendous strain and we are asking for help to cover some of this burden. Jacob Peter will live in our hearts forever. Thank you.
