In Loving Memory of Darlene Montes

Please join us in raising funds to provide financial support for Darlene's family to help pay for her funeral services.

Darlene was a Dean of Academic Affairs at Los Angeles Mission College. She was well-loved on campus. She dedicated her life to helping our students achieve their dreams through higher education. In 2001, she started working for the L.A. Community College District in the Personnel Commission. In 2008, she joined Los Angeles Mission College as the Executive Assistant in the President’s Office. In 2014, she became a Dean of Academic Affairs, where she oversaw Noncredit (Adult Basic Education), Dual Enrollment, Chicano Studies, English, Communication Studies, ESL, Foreign Languages, the Library, and the Learning Resource Center.

She touched the lives of countless students, as well as faculty, staff and administrators. She will be missed, but not forgotten.

We have now added Darlene's brother, Joe Montes, as the beneficiary to withdraw the funds so the family can make preparations for her services.
