In memorial of Cameron Sutton
My name is Billie Doner and I am fundraising for my friend Misty Sutton. She lost her only child this morning June 6th to pneumonia.
Childhood friends and schoolmates, Misty and I also shared the journey of special needs parenting and later single parent-special needs parenting. I cannot imagine the unimaginable loss she must be feeling right now. When you dedicate your life to the lifetime care of another the hole that is left in your heart and in your life must be vast.
Born May 31st, 1989, Cameron had only just recently celebrated his 31st birthday before his passing. He was a young man who, despite having to overcome monumental medical difficulties in his short life, he always had a positive outlook.
Born with Spina Bifida, Cameron endured multiple hospitalizations and the eventual loss of both legs to infection. Despite this, his was a joyful spirit who loved Harley Davidsons, playing video games and dressing up as Lt. Dan from Forrest Gump for fun. He was a graduate of the class of 2007 in Terrell, Texas.
Cameron’s sweet momma, Misty, has dedicated her life to being his caregiver, encouraging his independence by building him a tinyhouse behind her home so that she could still help him when needed.
For most of his life, Misty was a single parent with a special needs child who also was caregiver to her parents. The loss of her only child is an unimaginable loss.
This go-fund me is being set up to help cover final medical and funeral costs. Any amount you can contribute will be appreciated and if you could please share so that others may contribute.
Sincerely,
Billie Doner
