The family and friends of Katie Youngmee Chung have suffered the tragic loss of a bright, shining light, wife, daughter, sister and loyal friend.
On November 8, 2017 Katie underwent a very standard procedure and suddenly went into cardiac arrest after the procedure. She has been on life support since and we will now be saying good bye to Katie on Monday.
As we all know and have experienced, Katie made such a bright and positive influence in everyones’ lives. Whether you were a close friend or just an acquaintance, Katie had so many heartfelt relationships with many people around her. She will always be remembered as the small girl who had the strength and heart of all of us combined – with her love and thirst for constant adventures, quirky style, silly faces, and the incomparable strength that she withheld, we all know that there is nobody who is comparable to the strong woman/rolemodel she was to us all. We’ll always remember our Katie as the one girl who is always down for anything, and a great friend to us all.
Katie was also a loving wife to Fabio, the best daughter and a great big sister to both her sisters, Bunny (27) and Sarah (15). This fund is set up to help her family with any hospital bills, memorial costs, end-of-life expenses or whatever else the family will need in the upcoming months.
We ask mostly for your continued thoughts, prayers, comments, and support throughout this difficult time; however if you would like to help the family monetarily, you can make a donation here. I know they would never ask for anything themselves, so they would be incredibly grateful for any help they receive. No amount is too small - every $5, $10 will help.
We would like to thank everyone who stopped by the hospital to visit Katie. Even if it was just to say hi, share a funny memory, say a prayer, or even to just hold her hand. Truly from the bottom of our hearts, thank you! Katie meant so much to so many people and we are thankful for your donations.
We will keep everyone updated sometime this week on a memorial service to share the grief of this loss and to celebrate Katie's life.
