In Loving Memory of Christopher Rogers

In honour of our dear Chris and in support of sweet Silver during this heartbreaking time, we are reaching out to this beautiful community for your generosity and support.

Everyone who knew Chris has felt his magic—his vibrant presence, the way he lived every moment to the fullest, the way he loved so wholly and unconditionally. He was truly a remarkable man, human, partner, father, friend, teacher, family member, and lover of all. His smile and laugh would light up the room, the spark in his eyes showing a glimpse into the magic he had within.

On Good Friday, Chris suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. He was in a coma with no hope of returning to this world, his brain had been without oxygen for much too long and the damage was irreversible. It is absolutely devastating, and the grief is immeasurable.

Chris was surrounded by Silver, friends, family, and lovers from near and far—nearly around the clock—throughout his hospitalization. He was so deeply loved and we are all profoundly grateful to have been given the opportunity to sit with him, feel his spirit, speak our hearts, and say our goodbyes.

Thank you to everyone who has shown their love and support during this time. We have such deep gratitude for all your warm wishes, visits, support, love, and prayers. What an incredible and loving community.

On Friday, May 2nd at 10:51am, Christopher Rogers was peacefully released from this realm. Though he is no longer with us, he will live on in our hearts forever. Chris was able to be an organ donor to others in need, one last time getting the chance to help others as he so often and selflessly did.

One final, beautiful act of love.

We will share details for his Celebration of Life once the arrangements have been made. Thank you for your patience and compassion while Silver navigates these next steps.

Chris and Silver were two wildly beautiful and colourful puzzle pieces that fit together in such a way that is rare to see. Two wholes coming together to form a union so strong and resilient, so loving and open-hearted, so passionate and unwavering. To see them torn apart is earth-shattering beyond words.

Silver is heartbroken. She will need time to process, grieve, and begin to heal. To support her through this painful transition, we would like to open donations so she is able to take time to rest and begin mourning after two long and exhausting weeks at the hospital. She will really need our support. She and Chris worked side by side. Everything they built—their work, their home, their dream—relied on their combined skills, their partnership, their deep love and union.
