Inka Sport to Gothia Cup

Hi,

My name is Anna and I am raising money to help Inka Sport (year 12) from Cusco, Peru to go to Gothia Cup Football tournament in Gothenburg, Sweden.

As I was traveling through Latin America this winter, I met with a guide named Adriel. Not only did he guide and educate us on the fantastic history of the Inkas of Peru, but he advertised all of Peru and came to visit us and check we were ok in our hotel every day during the ongoing protests in Cusco city. During these days, we talked a lot and found a great friendship, mostly talking about the history of the country, but also his passion for the youth of the country and his dream to coach the next big Peruvian star in football. He told many stories about his current coaching role for the Inka Sport team age 12, with the hopes of one day go to a tournament in Europe.

My hometown, Gothenburg in Sweden, is arranging Gothia Cup in July every summer, a Youth football tournament with teams participating from all over the world. It has become the biggest football tournament for youth in the world and is an amazing opportunity to network, experience new cultures and create memories that will last a lifetime.

As Adriel kept us safe and made our Peruvian experience extraordinary in all aspects, I would like to repay him by helping him and his team fullfill the dream to get to Gothia Cup in Sweden this year. There are currently only a girls team represented for Peru, and Adriel and his team has never visited other countries before. This would be an amazing experience and motivation not only for these kids, but bring encouragement for the entire community.

The tournament lasts for a week where the entrance fee of $ 8 000 is including all games, transportation, food and accommodation for the whole stay.

On top of that we need to raise extra money for flight tickets, pocket money (they get big discount on amusement parks etc during the week) and sort out some professional football clothing. All help is much appriciated!
