I am a veteran who has been fighting through an incredibly painful and overwhelming chapter of my life. While working in Europe in support of military operations, I suffered a head injury that resulted in serious Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) symptoms. This injury has affected my memory, focus, balance, and overall health. Despite the severity of this injury, I have been denied medical treatment, leaving me without the proper care I urgently need. Because of this, I am being forced to pay for medical care out of pocket, which is nearly impossible while already dealing with homelessness, financial hardship, and constant emotional stress.
The continuing physical pain, TBI symptoms, and the emotional weight of being denied basic medical care have pushed me to a breaking point. I have always tried to stay strong, but this situation has become more than I can endure alone. I am raising funds to help cover medical treatment and evaluations denied through the system, out-of-pocket healthcare costs, TBI-related therapies and neurological care, medication and pain management, transportation to medical appointments, basic living necessities during recovery, and support while trying to rebuild stability and improve my health.
Living with a serious head injury and no medical treatment has taken a heavy toll on my body and my emotional well-being. I’ve always tried to handle everything on my own, but right now I truly need help to survive and recover. Any contribution—no matter the amount—will directly help me receive the medical care I’ve been denied and give me a fighting chance to heal and move forward. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your support, kindness, and generosity mean more than you know.
